Founders
Seb and Dan Prosser started NewPup to share their passion for dogs and ownership. Having both grown up with dogs around the house from a early age (A Border Collie, German Shepherd and Jack Russell/Pug (Jug), they have a true appreciation and understanding of the meaning 'Dogs are man's best friend'.Dr Hannah Godfrey

Hannah graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 and began work at a busy mixed practice. She has a passion for soft tissue surgery as well as canine and feline dentistry, having completed additional training in both areas. Since 2018, she has worked at a smaller, independent practice close to home, in order to devote more time to her other love – writing comedy fiction. She hopes to soon be a published author. She lives with her partner, her cats ‘Ashton Kutcher’ and ‘Poppy’ and is expecting her first child very soon. Aside from writing and being a vet, Hannah enjoys running, baking and upcycling unloved furniture.Dr Ruth Cawston

Ruth graduated from Cambridge in 2014 and has worked as a small animal GP vet ever since. She is particularly interested in internal medicine, as it combines her love of problem-solving and her somewhat geeky love of knowledge, and has completed her certificate in Small Animal Medicine. Outside of work, Ruth enjoys gardening, swimming, and walking the dog.Dr Gemma Cliffin

Gemma is an experienced small animal vet who combines her love of writing alongside working in practice. Since her graduation from the University of Liverpool in 2014 she has worked in a wide variety of roles including first opinion practice, as a night vet and as a locum vet. She has also spent time working at a charity clinic in the Cook Islands which was a challenge but also immensely rewarding. She loves all aspects of veterinary work, but she especially enjoys medicine cases and diagnostic imaging. Gemma spends her spare time hiking with her 2 dogs in the Yorkshire Dales and Moors near to where she lives.Dr Joanna Woodnutt

Dr Jo graduated from the University of Nottingham and went straight into small animal practice. She soon developed a love of consulting and helping pet owners to understand their pets. Jo now works part-time as a relief vet in the Channel Island of Guernsey, dedicating the rest of her time to writing articles and blogs. She’s got one small mixed-breed terrier, called Pixie, who is always getting into trouble!Dr Rebecca MacMillan

Rebecca is a companion animal vet who has always had a passion for writing and client communication. Since her graduation from the Royal Veterinary college in 2009 she has gained a wealth of experience in first opinion small animal practice, in both clinical and managerial roles. She currently works in the South West and deals with a variety of routine and emergency appointments, but particularly enjoys medicine cases. Jason Homan is a copywriter, editor, and Baptist pastor who makes his home in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, with his wife Debbie and their seven dogs. The couple breeds award-winning Parson and Jack Russell Terriers under the kennel name Bristol Abbey. Active in their local dog community, Jason and Debbie participate in such events as conformation and dog performance sports and are also involved in rescue. They share their home with their four Parsons Branson, Bridget, Jackson, and Gigi and their three Jack Russells Beckham, Dior, and Posh.Maddie Packham

Ann-Marie is a freelance writer, with many years of experience studying and working with dogs. She has fostered, rescued, and rehabilitated dogs over the years, having a passion for helping animals who need her. She lives in the UK with her 3 dogs, her husband, and their rabbit.
